ADULT MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT CENTER

 

REGISTERED NURSE II, Pay Band - 5, Salary $45,681 – Negotiable, Shift-R, Deadline: Continuous, (SAFETY SENSITIVE:  PRE-OFFER DRUG TEST REQUIRED)

REQUIRED:  Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, eligibility for or current licensure in the State of Virginia; progressive recent nursing experience in leadership, supervision and management of nursing personnel; demonstrated ability to evaluate both patient and staff performance; will be asked to demonstrate a general knowledge of medication and its administration.

PREFERRED:  Progressive professional nursing experience (as defined in Nursing SOP #280-E) with a minimum of a clinical rotation in a psychiatric inpatient, acute medical/surgical or geriatric setting; knowledge of biopsychosocial needs of patients; practical application of the problem-solving approach in the assessment and development of patient care plans.

HANCOCK GERIATRIC TREATMENT CENTER

REGISTERED NURSE III/CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST, (Geriatrics), #A1604, Pay Band – 6, Salary Commensurate with qualifications, Shift-D, Deadline:  OPEN UNTIL FILLED, (SAFETY SENSITIVE:  PRE-OFEER DRUG TEST REQURIED)

REQUIRED:  Licensed in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse; licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.  Master’s, post master’s or doctorate from a clinical nurse specialist in gerontology or/psychiatric program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).  A minimum of 500 faculty supervised clinical hours in the Gerontological  and/or Psychiatric CNS role.  Wound and skin assessment experience.  Advanced teaching experience.  Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team.

 

 

 

REGISTERED NURSE MANAGER I/RNCB - MDS Coordinator – POD-2, #00787, Pay Band – 5, Salary $56,297 - Negotiable, Shift-D, Deadline:  OPEN UNTIL FILLED, (SAFETY SENSITIVE:  PRE-OFEER DRUG TEST REQUIRED)

REQUIRED:  Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; eligibility for or current licensure in the State of Virginia; previous professional nursing experience in mental health, medical, adult and geropsychiatric setting; good clinical knowledge and skills to assess and develop patient care plans with completion of the Minimum Data Set in accordance with Federal Regulations.  Demonstrate the ability to coordinate, delegate, communicate and problem solve in the supervision and evaluation of both patient care issues and staff performance; ability to instruct and train patients and staff.  Experience in the completion and submission of the Minimum Data Set (MDS).

PREFERRED:  Strong background in a leadership or management role.

REQUIRED: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree with completion of an approved/accredited psychiatry residency training program.  Current experience in an inpatient setting.  Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a current DEA Registration.  Experience depicting excellent evaluation, examination and diagnostic skills in order to treat and manage mental and medical illnesses/diseases.  Effectively communicate with patients and staff on all levels, orally and in writing in order to document medical information into the medical record and for interactions with others regarding clinical and/or administrative concerns or issues.  Excellent interpersonal skills; good computer and keyboarding skills in order to use the computerized physician order entry program.

PREFERRED:  Experience in an inpatient setting.

REQUIRED:  Graduation from accredited college or university with degree in theological studies, or its equivalent.  Ordination or similar recognition by an appropriated religious authority.  Ability to plan and implement religious services with a multi-faith congregation appropriate to the needs of geriatric and adult psychiatric patients.  Experience in the recruitment, management and retention of Chaplaincy volunteers.  Demonstrate good oral and written skills for communicating with diverse population.

PREFERRED: Experience working with psychiatric patients with physical disabilities in a clinical setting.
