JOB DESCRIPTION:  This position is responsible for patient care that includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and medical illnesses under the direction and supervision of a physician as specified in the practice agreement.  Works with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure development, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment.  Ensures medical record compliance with regard to state, federal regulations, Joint Commission Standards from other accrediting bodies or agencies.  Ensures medical record documentation compliance rate and agrees to abide by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.  Works as an on-call (MOD) practitioner providing continuous medical coverage of the facility, as needed.  This position contributes to the hospital's seclusion/restraint reduction efforts.
